Privacy Policy
Draft. This page describes how the service works, but it has not been reviewed and the operating entity is not named yet. Do not treat it as final.
This page covers two groups of people: realtors who buy a send, and agents who receive one. What we hold is different for each, so they are described separately.
If you bought a send
We hold what you gave us, which is:
- Your name, email address, phone number and brokerage.
- The listing details and photographs you submitted.
- A record that a payment was made. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
We use it to build your campaign, send you the proof, run the send and report the results back to you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to market anything to you beyond the send you bought.
If you received a campaign
We hold your professional contact details: your name, your business email address, your brokerage and the city you work in. These were compiled from real estate listings and brokerage directories where agents publish their business contact information so that other agents and buyers can reach them. They were not supplied to us by you.
We hold no personal address, no financial information and nothing about you outside your professional listing presence.
To be removed: use the unsubscribe link in any campaign, or email hello@emailthemarket.com. Removal is permanent and applies to every campaign from every sender using this service, not just the one you received. We keep your address on a suppression list afterwards for the sole purpose of making sure nothing reaches you again.
Who else sees it
Two service providers handle data on our behalf: Stripe processes payments, and Wix runs the email sending and holds the contact list and campaign images. Both have their own privacy terms. Nobody else receives this data, and it is not sold, rented or traded.
The realtor who bought a send sees the aggregate result of that send: how many messages were opened and clicked. They do not receive the list, and they are not told which individual agents did either.
Access and questions
Email hello@emailthemarket.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. A person reads that address.
